mail error

Iam unable to send out emails since we changed the system
acount name...
when I test the email name I get the following message
'Errorr 22022:SQLServerAgent Error: The SQLServerAgent
session is not running; check the mail profile and or
SQLServerAgent service startup acount in SQLServerAgent
properties dialogue box'
the mail configeration test works ok and restarted
SQLServerAgent.. any ideasgrumy,
When you say you changed the "system account name", what exactly are you
referring to? The MSSQLServer service account name?
I am also not clear on whether your SQLServerAgent service is running or
not. The error message states that it is not running, but you are saying
that SQLServerAgent was restarted successfully. Could you clarify your
questions?
