Maintenance plan error!

failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'.Did you remove the BUILTIN\Administrators group or remove
that group from the sysadmin server role?
If so, you can add the login and add it to the sysadmin
server role using:
exec sp_grantlogin N'NT Authority\System'
and
exec sp_addsrvrolemember N'NT Authority\System', sysadmin

Maintenance Assistant SQL 2005 Error 12291

Hello,
SQL Server 2005 EE Trial Version SP2 Win 2003 SP2
I've tried to backup the AdventureWorks database with the help of
Maintenance Assistant, I've created a fairly simple job, straight forward,
no tricks and radio button clicks!
I've started that job and after a while I got an error id: 12291 Error
Package Maintenace Plan 12291 in the event protocol.
The additional text is reporting that the backup of the database
AdventureWorks was ok!
What in the hell went wrong, A Microsoftware error?
Please help

Maint. Plan Help

I need to set up a Maintenance Plan on a 6.5 DB. I know the version is old but the customer cannot upgrade at this time. When I try and run the wizard to set it up I get a warning about running a plan on a DB that is larger that 400MB. Whats the deal? As I recall (and it has been a while), one of the things that the maintenance plan will try to set up is an index reorg and (possibly) space reclamation. You don't want to touch either of these with your database. At least, I don't think you do. I would probably skip the maintenance plan wizard altogether and set up backup jobs to make sure your database is being backed up.

When I did this, I had to set up 5 backup devices (named FULL, 0600, 1200, 1800 and 0000). I then scheduled the full backup to write to the FULL backup device and four transaction log backups to write to the other four devices (at midnight, 6:00am, noon and 6:00pm). The backups would overwrite the files (so another process would have to copy the backup files to a remote location).

SQL 6.5. Ugh. It's the reason I drink so much now.

Machine name works and FQDN fails

Short version:
http://machinename/reports works as does http://machinename/reportserver
http://FQDN/reports repeatedly requests authentication and then fails.
Longer version:
Everything was working perfectly. I attempted to change to Sharepoint
integrated mode from native (after giving up on this - different thread) I
switched back to native mode.
Everything works when I access using machine name, but the FQDN now causes a
repeated request for authentication (does not matter which server or desktop
the request comes from or which user account) the request fails.
This worked before my adventure into sharepoint integration without a
request for authentication, but I can't figure out what I changed
(I broke it and can't fix it) - Please help.

mac sql2005 express

I recognize that this question borders on blasphemy but I am curious as to whether there is a version of sql2005 express for the mac platform. Would like to keep a compatible local instance of 2005 on my mac notebook.
